This new series will include "a miscellaneous collection" of vital records for the state of Missouri. In many respects, the publication will be similar to "Missouri Pioneers", however, the emphasis will be placed on material of statewide importance. Each volume will contain one or more large blocks of genealogical information, of such scope, as to encompass the entire state - or the portions that were settled at that point in time. -- Introduction
