Primarily the descendants of Nathan Byars who was born in 1749 in Granville County, North Carolina and died 18 August 1846 in Spartanburg District, South Carolina. He married (1) Drucilla Harrelson (ca. 1743-ca. 1818), daughter of Burgess and Elizabeth Harrelson, after 1772. They had ten children. He married (2) Delphy Logan 8 October 1819. They had one child. Descendants lived mainly in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Illinois and Missouri.
William Byars was born between 1735-45 in Granville or Rutherford County, North Carolina and died 1794/95 probably in Rutherford County, North Carolina. He married Sarah Ann Doggett (ca. 1745-1823) in 1765. They had seven children. Descendants lived mainly in North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Texas.
John Byars was born 1690 in New Kent County, Virginia and died after 1734 in Louisa County, Virginia. He married Elizabeth Glen (1691-1763), daughter of John Glen and Hannah Thompson, 1712. Descendants lived mainly in Virginia, Alabama and Texas.
