If you have a family group tree, you can choose whether your private tree (FamilySearch Tree) or a family group tree is your preferred tree.
The relationship viewer determines how you are related by following the couple and parent-child relationships between your profile and another person's profile in Family Tree.
"Relationship Unknown" means FamilySearch couldn't find a connection between you and another user or person in Family Tree.
Use the View My Relationship feature to see how you are related to people in Family Tree.
