Upcoming Library Construction Notice:
We’re making improvements to the library that may temporarily affect noise levels, parking, and building access. In some cases, the library may close on short notice for safety. Please review the details to plan your visits accordingly. We appreciate your patience.
Guest Services
We can help convert old medium
The FamilySearch Library Guest Services, located on the main floor, offers conversions of old technology like 5 ¼ inch soft floppy disks and 3 ½ inch hard floppy disks. We can help you open old PAF 2.31 data or backup files to create usable GEDCOM files and help you move them into FamilySearch Family Tree. We also have a Macintosh computer to help save data from old disks.
Service missionaries are available to help you learn to digitize all other forms of media on the second floor. You will need to stay with your film for the duration of the digitizing process.
Memory Lane: Family Memories Preservation Center
Do you have photos, tapes, slides, books, film, and other media to digitize?
Visit the Family Memories Preservation Center in the FamilySearch Library.
We enable inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family—past, present, and future.
