Later descendants also lived in Germany, Mexico, and in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Some focus is on (but not limited to) the Tyson family's relationship to the frontiersman, David "Davey" Crockett (1786-1836).

Includes Tice, Tison, Tysor, Tyuson, and other variant spellings.

Also includes Alamand, Allen, Alston, Baird, Barton, Beard, Belew, Booher, Boyd, Browning, Buchanan, Bullock, Burroughs, Cargill, Craven, Crockett, Edmondson, Edwards, Flinky, Floyd, Forbes, Gaddy, Hardee, Hart, Hogan, House, Joyner, Kerr, Larrentree, Lewis, Manous, Mask(e), May, McGuire, Moore, Morris, Nelms, Parker, Patton, Ragan, Rasco, Sagg, Sheppard, Smith, Sparks, Spearman, Turnage, Twogood, Vines, Voorhies, Waddell, Warren, Winfield, Wood, Youngblood, and other related families.

The register covers the family of William Whitfield Tyson, who was born August 1861 in Lafayette Township, Oachita County, Arkansas. William was the second child of Uriah N. Tyson and Nancy Hannah Bacchus. William married Margaret E. Rawls in August 1887. He died April 1931 in Route 2, Blanket, Brown County, Texas and was buried in the Salt Creek Cemetery in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. His descendants include their children, Frances Lillian, Daisy, David Uriah, Noah Jeptha, Helen Beulah, Violet, Mattie, and Mary Elizabeth Tyson. Records include descendants to the fifth generation from William, with dates as late as 2005. Information is well-documented with notes taken from birth records, county records, cemetery inscriptions, census records, marriage records, military and draft records, tax records, vital statistic records, and other sources.

Some volumes have every-name indexes.

Includes a separate table of contents to vols. 1-10 called, "Master Index to articles in Tyson quarterly (Mar 1996 - Dec 2002)." Vol. 10 was published in 2005, so correct title would be vols. 1-10 (1996-2005).
