Note

Parts of Carbon (1843), Lehigh (1812), Monroe (1836), and Schuylkill (1811) counties were later set off from Northampton County.

The manuscripts consist of many letters, court and civil documents.

Although the indexes give page numbers, those numbers are not visible in the record.

Some manuscripts are in German.
