Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Weimer (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from the Weimer Republic in Germany, and from the Staat [state] of Thuringia to North America after 1618. Others came from Austria, Bavaria, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Russia, and Scotland. They settled in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia in the 1600-1700's. During the 1800's, some migrated to Nova Scotia, Quebec, and elsewhere in Canada, and to Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in British Columbia and Ontario (Canada), in Japan, in Russia, and in Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Washington D.C., Wyoming, and elsewhere.
