This Lewis family tree is a photocopy reproduction of a family tree over six feet tall in the entrance hall of Woodlawn Plantation, the home George Washington gave to Martha's granddaughter. It covers the descendants of Robert Lewis (1607-ca.1645) and his wife, Elizabeth, who emigrated from Wales to Gloucester County, Virginia in 1635. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia and elsewhere.

Presumably these partial indexes were also compiled by Stanford Bacon Lewis. The two individuals (John Lewis and Robert Lewis) were brothers and also great-grandchildren of Robert Lewis (1607-ca.1645), the immigrant from Wales to Gloucester County, Virginia.
