Robert Stubblefield, probably the grandson of George Stubblefield, an early settler in Halifax County, Virginia, and his wife, Ann, signed a deed for land in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, in 1726. Children and grandchildren listed lived in Virginia and elsewhere.
Ann Stubblefield, daughter of Capt. Thomas Stubblefield of Culpeper County, Virginia, and granddaughter of Robert and Ann Stubblefield, married Hezekiah Brown, ca. 1763. Descendants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, and elsewhere.
Includes the Clark, Gibbs, Lofland, Priest, and other related families.
