I forgot my Workforce password or username

If you are an employee for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a missionary, a volunteer seminary teacher, or an ecclesiastical leader, your Church Account is a "workforce" account. The recovery process for workforce accounts begins at ChurchofJesusChrist.org. 

Members with workforce accounts cannot use their Church record number for account recovery. 

Steps

  1. Begin at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the silhouette icon.
  3. Click Sign in.
  4. Click I forgot my username or password.
  5. Click a recovery option, and enter the requested information. You must use 2 of the recovery methods. The options available depend on what options are set up on your Church Account.
    • If you use the text message or email options, the code or link expires in 20 minutes.
    • Answers to the security questions are case-sensitive. If you cannot answer the security questions or use the other options, contact the Global Service Department for Accounts: 1-855-537-4357 (Get Help).
    • For help, click the Help link on the screen. From within the help section, you can read answers to frequently asked questions, ask questions in a forum, or contact the Global Service Center.
  6. Enter and confirm your new password. Suggestions display if your password is not strong enough. Your username is visible near the top of the screen.
  7. Click Set New Password.
  8. If you are using a Church-issued computer, restart your computer. You do not need to do this for a personal computer.

Important Notes

Workforce accounts have rules about the password:

  • Minimum password length: 12 characters
  • Maximum password length: 128 characters
  • Password must not contain the username, preferred name, first name, or last name.
  • It must not be in the common passwords dictionary (Church Account dictionary).
  • After 10 unsuccessful attempts to sign in, the account locks. After 30 minutes, the account automatically unlocks and the guest can try again.
  • No password expiration
  • Cannot reuse last 4 passwords.
