I cannot see my spouse and in-laws in Family Tree

Why Can't I See My Spouse's Family in Family Tree?

You do not see your spouse's family and ancestors in Family Tree for several reasons.

Your spouse's parents are living.

If your spouse's parents are in Family Tree as living, the records are not visible to you because of privacy restrictions.

If you want to see them in your tree, add them to your tree. The new profiles are visible only to you.

Your spouse's parents are deceased, but their records in Family Tree show as living.

You cannot see the Tree profiles of living people that another person added.

Your spouse can go into Family Tree and mark his or her parents' profiles as deceased. Then you can add them to your pedigree. All the deceased ancestors connected to them also appear.

Take the time to check for duplicates of your spouse's parents in Family Tree. If you find duplicates, merge them.

Your spouse's parents are not in Family Tree.

You can create Family Tree profiles for your spouse's parents.
