How do I create a new source in my source box?

Use the steps below to create a new source in your source box.

Steps (website)

  1. While signed in to FamilySearch, click your name.
  2. Click Source Box.
  3. Click Create Source.
  4. Enter source information into the fields.
  5. Click Save. 

Steps (mobile app)

Currently, the Family Tree and Memories mobile apps do not include the source box feature. Visit the FamilySearch website to create sources.

Steps (Family Tree Lite)

Currently, Family Tree Lite does not include the Sources feature. Visit the FamilySearch website to create sources.
