United States Research: Gulf South Region Introduction

The Gulf South region includes the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Arkansas. This class is an introduction to Gulf South research and the history and record sets these states have in common. Covered are land, probate, tax, church, military and court records. Also included are short overviews of records and helpful archives unique to each state.
