This presentation demonstrates the value of using FamilySearch as a resource to help the viewer discover their lineage and answer questions of identity. Viewers learn to effecitvely use the historical records collections, the browes-only collections, the Familysearch catalog, and the digital "Books" (a shared collections of over a dozen institutional libraries). Effective search techniques are taught. African American collections, some unique to FS, are highlighted. This class was originally presented at the AAHGS 2020 virtual conference.
