Here's how to limit your search results to marriage record.

  1. From the FamilySearch homepage, click Search, then Records.
  2. Enter one person's name in the first and last name fields.
  3. Select More options, and under Add a Family Member click Spouse.
  4. Add the name of the spouse.
    • As needed, try variations of the couples' first or last names.
    • Try multiple searches using both the woman’s maiden name and married name.
  5. Scroll down and under Add Record Options, click Type.
  6. Select Marriage.
  7. Scroll down and click Search.
  8. Review your search results and click the record that interests you. If this is your ancestor, consider adding him or her to Family Tree and attaching the record.
