When searching the FamilySearch Catalog, you can use the Availability options to refine search results and focus on items that are online or in a FamilySearch library.
Steps (website)
- At the top of the page, click Search and then select Catalog.
- Enter your search terms.
- Just above the Search button, locate the Availability section. By default, the filter is set to Any, which shows all items matching your search terms, including microfiche, digitized content, restricted digitized content, books, and CDs.
- To narrow your results, select the following option:
- Online: Limits results to digitized materials available online. Note that some digitized content is viewable only in FamilySearch centers and not at home.
Note: The catalog no longer displays items in individual FamilySearch center inventories. Contact the FamilySearch center directly to check on inventory.
