What are the possible research suggestions in Family Tree?

Family Tree identifies opportunities to improve the information that Family Tree has about a person. These opportunities are called "research suggestions." The following table lists all of the research suggestions, describes when they appear, and indicates whether the suggestion can be dismissed.

Person May Have Another SpouseThere is no evidence of another marriage, but this person lived long enough after the last spouse passed away to marry again. Yes
Person May Have ChildrenThe person is 15 or older but has no spouse or children listed. Yes
Possible Missing Child

This research suggestion appears when one or more of these situations occurs:

  • The birth year of the first child is 3 or more years after the marriage year.
  • The last child was born 3 or more years before the mother turned 40.
  • A gap of 3 or more years exists between the birth of one child and the next sibling.
