How do I delete a folder from my source box?

You can remove folders from your source box. If the folder contains sources, the sources move to the Home folder. The system does not delete sources when you delete the folder.

Steps (website)

  1. While signed in to FamilySearch.org, click your name.
  2. Click Source Box.
  3. Next to the name of the folder that you want to delete, click
  4. Click Remove Folder.
  5. If the folder contains sources, a message explains that they move to the home folder. Click Remove.

Steps (mobile app)

Currently, the Family Tree and Memories mobile apps do not include the source box feature. Manage your sources on FamilySearch.org.

Steps (Family Tree Lite)

Currently, Family Tree Lite does not include the Sources feature. Manage your sources on the full website.
