Starting in 2023, you will be able to sign in to FamilySearch using a Facebook, Google, Apple, or Church account (ChurchofJesusChrist.org). While some of these log-in options have been available previously, some are new.
Note: Some log-in options may not be available in all languages.
Using the different log-in options can help you minimize tedious typing of different usernames and passwords, and it can make signing in to FamilySearch a lot quicker. It can also help if you find that you keep forgetting your FamilySearch username and password or if you prefer other methods of signing in than typing a password (such as using a Google or Apple passkey).
You also don't have to use just one log-in option. You can link as many as you'd like! Linking log-ins is easy:
If you already have a FamilySearch account, on FamilySearch.org, click Sign In, and choose which sign-in option you prefer, using the icons at the top of the page. If you have not yet linked your FamilySearch account to a Facebook, Google, or Apple account, clicking on the icon for any of these will give you prompts to help link your accounts.
For help with signing in using a Church Account, visit this help article.

To create a new FamilySearch account using these log-in options, click Create Account instead, and choose your preferred sign-up method using the different icons.

What Information Is Shared When I Link Accounts?
When linking accounts with Facebook, Google, and Apple, prompts will show you what specific permissions you are enabling between the 2 accounts. In general, only basic identifying information that allows account log-ins to be linked is shared.
Note: When using a public computer, be sure to sign out of both FamilySearch and the linked account you signed in with. Signing out of one does not always sign you out of the other.
We hope these new log-in options will help users who like more flexibility with their accounts. And if you simply have a hard time managing too many different passwords, we hope these options will help you too! Sign in or sign up today to try it out:
