If you’ve forgotten your FamilySearch username or password, don’t worry! The easiest way to get back in is through your Church Account—give it a try before resetting your password or reaching out to Support.
No need to create a separate FamilySearch account or login! Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can use their Church account to access FamilySearch, just like they do for other Church sites and apps, such as Gospel Library.
Signing in is easy—just click the Continue with Church Account button on the sign-in page. This option is available on the FamilySearch website and mobile apps. This is a great backup option if you ever forget your FamilySearch username or password and no longer have access to the email or phone number tied to your FamilySearch account.
While Church accounts and FamilySearch accounts are separate, both can be used to access FamilySearch. And even if a FamilySearch account linked to a Church membership number is deleted, members can still view their Family Tree data with their Church account.
