The Bible and genealogy were offered by the Rockbridge County Historical Society in Lexington, Virginia. The extract was offered by Robert F. Gillespie and from Timber Ridge Congregation, Rockbridge County, Virginia.
John Houston came from Ireland about 1735 to Pennsylvania. He later moved to Virginia. The genealogy includes his descendants, ca. 1735-1935, who lived in Virginia, Ohio, Mississippi, Texas and elsewhere. Allied lines are Letcher, Myers, Preston, Cloyd, Estill, Waddell and others.
