Michael Wilhoit (d.1746) immigrated from Germany (via England) to Madison County, Virginia during or before 1728, and later moved to Orange County, Virginia. He was affiliated with the 1717 German Lutheran colony in Madison County, although apparently arriving a few years later. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, South Dakota and elsewhere.
Includes Blankenbaker, Broyles (Broil), Chenoweth, Dudley, Garr, Harlan, Shoot, Wiley, Yowell and related families.
