George Weedon (1632-1682) was living in Westmoreland County, Virginia, by 1650. He married Sarah Turner, daughter of John Turner, ca. 1659. They were probably the parents of at least four sons. Records lists a number of descendants to the fifth generation, but from there chiefly follows the line of Augustine Weedon and his son, John Frances Weedon. Augustine Weedon (177_-1850) was born in Culpeper County, Virginia, the son of George Weedon (174_-1821). He married Elizabeth Farmer (1786-1856) in 1795. The had nine children, born in Virginia. The family migrated to McMinville, Tennessee, in 1828. He died at Woodbury, Tennessee. His son, John Frances Weedon (1821-1909) married Mary Jane Ferrell (1820-ca. 1848) in 1843. After her death, he married 2) Eliza Ann Ferrell (1824-1920), her sister. They had seven children, 1853-1868. The family moved to Auburntown, Tennessee, in 1857. They migrated to Texas in 1870 and settled at in Grayson County. They moved to Denton County in 1874; to Wise County in 1876; and to Brown County, Texas, in 1884. Descendants listed lived in Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere.
