Probate causes were heard in the Probate Court for each county until 1879 when an act of the state legislature created the Superior Court which assumed the responsibilities of the Probate Court.
Contains original papers in superior court probate cases, showing name and number of case, names of testators, heirs, guardians, minors, incompetents and attorneys, date and nature of paper, inventory of estate, amount of inheritance tax, and orders of final settlements.
