These records contain field notes, including descriptions, about patents, proprietor's records, and other land records (such as military land grants, and Indian reservations). They often contain detailed information about the surveys which were made. The names of persons who were buying the land, or who owned adjacent land, are sometimes given. In some cases maps or pictorial surveys are included.
Includes index which only indexes localities.
