This microfilm publication reproduces court-martial and other personnel records from the Department of Navy, 1799-1867. The records include name indexes and registers and transcripts of proceedings of general courts-martial and courts of inquiry--Introd.
Information given in the records includes, when applicable; name of the sailor charged; his rating, ship or station, and other service information; the alleged offense; place and date of trial; and the sentence"--Introd.
