Margaret Elizabeth Ferrel Hayes and her ancestors/ Edward R. Hayes

Chiefly ancestral families, relatives and descendants of Margaret Elizabeth Ferrel Hayes (1862-1965). She was born on the family farm in Henry County, Iowa, the daughter of James Morris Ferrel (1837-1917) and Nancy Nugen Ferrel (1837-1927). She married Alonzo Dean Hayes (d. 1935) in 1890 at New London, Iowa. They had five children, 1891-1904. She died at the hosptial in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, at age 103. Children and grandchildren lived in Iowa, California, Illinois, Minnesota, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: Joseph Ferrel (1754?-1827), a Revolutionary War soldier, a Pennsylvania and Licking County, Ohio -- Richard Nugen[t] (b. ca. 1750) of Virginia and Indiana -- George See [Zeh?] (d. 1751) of Berks County, Pennsylvania, and Augusta County, Virginia -- John Jacob Rector (1674-1728/9) of Germany and Virginia -- John Warnock (fl. 1748-1755) of Virginia.
