Contains a typed transcript of "Memorablia" written by Carr W. Pritchett at Glasgow, Missouri, in 1904; a ms. genealogical outline of the Pritchett and and allied families, ca. 1740-1972; excepts from Pioneer families of Missouri; and information on the Pritchett home taken from the memoirs of Carr Pritchett.

Henry Pritchett was born in Brunswick County, Virginia, in 1798, the son of Joshua and Elizabeth Cousins Prichett. He married Martha Myra Waller, son of Carr and Elizabeth Martin Waller. They first lived in Henry County, Virginia, and then moved to a plantation at Pittsylvania. The family migrated to Missouri in 1835. They had ten children. Their son, Carr W. Pritchett, was the principal of the Pitchett Institute at Glasgow, Missouri.

Joshua M. Pritchett was born in 1815 in Lulenburg County, Virginia, the son of William and Nancy Pritchett. He migrated to Missouri in 1835 with the family of his uncle, Henry Pritchett. He married Emily Chiles Edwards, daughter of Henry and Sarah Waller Edwards in 1837. They had seven children. He died in 1899.
