"The foregoing history of the Blair, Banister and Braxton families was copied by me, Georgia Fay Andrews Shull, during the year 1932, for the benefit of my children, John Richard and Dorothy Adelin Shull. It is an exact copy of the original book, with the exception of pages 227 and 228 [p. of book]: in these instances I have carried on the family record of my father, Richard Horner Whiting, son of Frances Braxton Whiting and Henry Anderson, down to the present generation, same being their great grandchildren"--(Leaf 184).

"Family of Robert John Young and Daisie Frances Denton:" [3] leaves inserted at end (referring to leaf 180 of transcript), prepared in 1958 by Rosina Maria Young Widdifield, Salt Lake City.

James Blair (d.1743) moved from Scotland to England, and immigrated to Henrico County, Virginia, later moving to Jamestown and then to Williamburg, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, Minnesota, California and elsewhere. Includes some ancestors and descendants in Scotland, England and elsewhere.
