Isaac LaRue Sr. (1712-1795) lived in Frederick County, Virginia and was a direct descendant of Abraham LeRoux (d.1712), a French Huguenot who immigrated about 1680 from France, and settled in what is now Kingston, New York between 1688 and 1692. Abraham later moved to Staten Island, New York and then to Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and elsewhere.
