Nel 1922 il comune di Ragusa Inferiore cambiò il nome in Ragusa Ibla e nel 1927 fu aggregato a Ragusa Superiore e tutte e due divennero Ragusa, il capoluogo della provincia.
In 1922 Ragusa Ibla became the new name for Ragusa Inferiore. It was an autonomous community until 1927 when it merged with Ragusa Superiore to form Ragusa and become the provincial capital.
