Organized in 1834 as the Eighth Avenue Presbyterian Church, in 1854 name changed to West Twenty-third Street Presbyterian Church, in 1889 consolidated with Westminster Presbyterian Church to form Westminster Presbyterian Church of Twenty-third Street, in 1923 name changed to Chelsea Presbyterian Church.
