Strategic Business Lead

Janine Cloud

Janine Cloud discovered her passion for genealogy in grade school, when a pedigree chart assignment sparked a lifelong curiosity about her ancestors. She joined FamilyTreeDNA in 2011. After fifteen years in roles spanning customer service, education, and project support, she recently joined the Product Management team. Janine has presented at RootsTech, RootsTech London, the National Genealogical Society Conference, the East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference, as well as at regional, state, and local organizations.

She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and a fifth-generation Texan.

Janine often says DNA shows the bones, and documents give it flesh, reflecting her belief that genetic genealogy connects evidence and lore, providing information that might not otherwise be available.
