The Pacific region includes the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii. This class is an introduction to the history and background of Pacific region research. It will also focus on records that are unique to the states in this region.

The Gulf South region includes the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Arkansas. This class is an introduction to Gulf South research and the history and record sets these states have in common. Covered are land, probate, tax, church, military and court records.
