What are the icons on the FamilySearch indexing toolbar?

The toolbar at the top of the indexing page can help you with your task. Here's what the icons mean:

Indexing--go-back
Return to Web IndexingReturn to the main page for web indexing, where you can see your current batches and check out new batches.
Indexing--quality-check
Open Quality CheckReview your work for accuracy. Quality Check will identify potential errors in the information you have entered.
Indexing--submit
Submit batchSubmit the batch of indexed records once you have viewed the records and indexed all of the legible information. Clicking Submit batch will initiate a quality check.
Indexing--mark-field-blank
Mark the field blankMark the field blank when information for a specific field or question is missing.
Indexing--mark-record-blank
Mark the entry blankMark the entry blank when all of the information for a particular record is missing.
Unreadable Icon
Mark the field unreadableMark the field unreadable when you are unable to read information printed or written on the record.
Indexing--add-entry
Add entries Add entries when the batch contains more images than expected.
Family Tree--delete-entry
Delete entriesDelete entries when the batch contains fewer images than expected.
Indexing--copy-previous-to-current
Copy text from the same field on the previous entryCopy and paste text from the previous entry into the current entry. The shortcut works for a single data field, as opposed to the entire entry.
Indexing--copy-current-to-all-below
Copy text from the selected field into matching fieldsCopy and paste text from the previous entry onto all of the entries in the batch.
Indexing--copy-previous-record-to-current
Copy text from previous entry into selected entryCopy and paste all of the text from the previous entry into the current entry.

Handwriting examplesSee different ways of writing all of the letters in the alphabet.
Share batch indexing
Share batchInvite someone to view the current batch of records and help you with your indexing.
