The toolbar at the top of the indexing page can help you with your task. Here's what the icons mean:
Icon | Name | Function |
Return to Web Indexing | Return to the main page for web indexing, where you can see your current batches and check out new batches. | |
Open Quality Check | Review your work for accuracy. Quality Check will identify potential errors in the information you have entered. | |
Submit batch | Submit the batch of indexed records once you have viewed the records and indexed all of the legible information. Clicking Submit batch will initiate a quality check. | |
Mark the field blank | Mark the field blank when information for a specific field or question is missing. | |
Mark the entry blank | Mark the entry blank when all of the information for a particular record is missing. | |
Mark the field unreadable | Mark the field unreadable when you are unable to read information printed or written on the record. | |
Add entries | Add entries when the batch contains more images than expected. | |
Delete entries | Delete entries when the batch contains fewer images than expected. | |
Copy text from the same field on the previous entry | Copy and paste text from the previous entry into the current entry. The shortcut works for a single data field, as opposed to the entire entry. | |
Copy text from the selected field into matching fields | Copy and paste text from the previous entry onto all of the entries in the batch. | |
Copy text from previous entry into selected entry | Copy and paste all of the text from the previous entry into the current entry. | |

Share batch | Invite someone to view the current batch of records and help you with your indexing. | |
International characters | Review a list of characters not included in the modern English alphabet. | |
