For Church members, please sign in to FamilySearch using the Continue with Church Account button. Public users are encouraged to sign in using identity providers supported by FamilySearch, such as Google, Facebook, or Apple.
If a Church member tries to sign in using their Church account credentials, but has forgotten their username or password, they can use the Church’s Account Recovery service on ChurchofJesusChrist.org to recover their account.
Update your recovery information
One of the methods the Church site uses to recover a username and/or password is through a reset message to either your email address or mobile number. If the address or number is out of date, you will not be able to receive the message. If this is the case, you can work with your ward clerk to update the contact information in your member record.
If your ward clerk is not familiar with the process, you can share these steps:
To update a member's email address or mobile phone number:
1. Sign in to Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR)
2. In the Search box, enter the member’s name, and click the correct person in the list that drops down.
3. Click the pencil icon, which is located along the right side of the screen.
4. Enter or change the needed information.
5. Click Save.
Note: Mobile number recovery option is currently only available for the United States, Canada and Brazil.
