Devin MeirelesI am a health care worker that moonlights as a short story and article writer. On my days off, I am also a family historian with expertise in the Azores Islands. 2022 will see the release of my debut creative nonfiction novel about my grandparents’ immigration story. Since they left the island, I have been afforded the privilege to be born and raised in this great land. My biggest motivation is to preserve their legacy and the history of my ancestors. I am a Portuguese-Canadian living in South Etobicoke, where a view of Lake Ontario inspires me to scribble a pen to my virtual notepad.
