Digging Deeper into German Records

Beyond FamilySearch: Digging Deeper into German Records is a 60-minute lecture designed for intermediate family historians ready to take their German research to the next level. Led by professional genealogist Nicholas Redmon, this class explores the tools, archives, and strategies you need to access German parish books, civil registrations, emigration files, and regional repositories. With real-life case examples and a passionate instructor who named his kids after his German roots, you’ll leave inspired and equipped with a clear path forward for your own research.

Attendees should already have a basic research goal and, ideally, know a name, date, and location in Germany or a likely region of origin.
