How do I join a family group?

On FamilySearch Labs, click Try It under Family Group Trees.

Go to FamilySearch Labs

During the early access phase of Family Group Trees, users may receive an invitation to join a group that is testing a new Family Group Tree feature.

This invitation could come in a variety of ways, such as an email. You could also receive an invitation through text message, or another messaging system that both you and the group administrator use.

Steps

  1. Find and open the invitation. If it was sent by email, be sure to check your spam folder.
  2. Click the link in the invitation.
  3. Sign into FamilySearch.
  4. Click the check box to agree to the terms.
  5. Click Yes, Join.
