Why can’t I see the name or the temple for my record contribution?

(Note: The My Impact feature is still in the testing phase. Each day, we make it available to a small audience of randomly selected users. Once testing is complete, My Impact will be available to everyone who visits the FamilySearch website.)

In most cases, the reason you can't see the name or temple for your record contribution is because 2 profiles in Family Tree were merged, and the profile attached to your contribution can longer be displayed. Consider the following examples.

Example 1: The ordinance date and temple name are missing

Sometimes Family Tree merges person profiles with conflicting ordinance information. When this happens, whichever ordinances were completed first become the preferred ordinances.

If you don’t see an ordinance date or temple name, it’s likely that the profile your contribution supported was merged, and the preferred ordinance information now comes from the other profile.

Your contribution helped make Family Tree more accurate, but there’s no longer a clear way to show you the ordinance date or temple name.

Example 2: The person's name is missing

Sometimes Family Tree merges the profile for a deceased person with the profile for a living person. When this happens, the resulting profile is private.

Your contribution helped make Family Tree more accurate, but we can no longer show you the name of the person it helped.
