In the First Ancestor view, the person of focus should have at least one first ancestor. You can remove a first ancestor if the wrong person is listed.
If the person of focus is connected to more than one first ancestor, you can display a different first ancestor instead of removing the one currently displayed.
Steps (website)
- Make sure the correct person of focus is shown at the bottom of the screen.
- On the person of focus, click +, and click Remove First Ancestor. If there is more than one first ancestor, follow these steps:

- Click Remove First Ancestor.
- Click
- Click Remove.
