I repeatedly receive the error "username or password was incorrect" when I try to sign in to FamilySearch

Here is what you can do if the FamilySearch website repeatedly gives you the error "Username or password was incorrect." 

Steps

  1. Clear your FamilySearch Cookies at https://www.familysearch.org/cookies.
  2. If clearing your cookies does not work, recover your FamilySearch username and password if you have forgotten them.
  3. If you still cannot sign in, please contact FamilySearch Support

I forgot my FamilySearch password or username
My account is locked
When I go to the FamilySearch website, I get the error, "This site can't be reached."
