Notes in the Planner are a valuable tool for tracking a person's progress and setting reminders for your tasks. They are private, visible only to you, and cannot be shared directly with consultants or those you assist. If you need to share your notes, you can print or email the information.
Steps (website)
- Sign in to FamilySearch.org.
- At the top, click the question mark icon.
- Select Helper Resources.
- On the right, find the Planner.
- Click a name on the list. If no list of names appears, click your own name.
- In the top-left navigation bar, click Notes.
To create a new note:
- Click New Note.
- Enter your notes. (Notes save automatically.)
To edit a note:
- Click the note and make your changes.
To delete a note:
- Locate the note in the list, click the three dots, and select Delete.
Steps (mobile app)
The Family Tree app does not currently support creating or viewing Planner notes. Please use a browser to access consultant resources online.
Steps (Family Tree Lite)
The Planner is not available in Family Tree Lite.
