How do I request resend a verification code to activate my FamilySearch account?

When you register for a FamilySearch.org account, you can use your mobile number to verify your identity and activate your account. FamilySearch sends you a text message with a 6-digit verification code. If you do not receive the code, verify that the mobile phone number you entered is correct. After correcting the number, you can request a new verification code.

Verify your mobile number

  1. Sign in to FamilySesarch.org.
  2. In the upper right corner, click your name, then Settings.
  3. Verify that the mobile phone number is correct. If it is incorrect, click Edit, and make the needed changes.
  4. Click Save.
