  2. Click Settings.
  3. On the left side of the screen, click Privacy and Security.
  4. In the Permissions section, to the right of Block pop-up windows, click Exceptions,
  5. In the Address of website box, enter https://www.familysearch.org.
  6. Click Allow.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Google Chrome

  1. On the browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu button.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. On the left, click Privacy and security.
  4. Click Site Settings.
  5. Click Pop-ups and redirects.

Microsoft Edge

Edge has no pop-up control for specific websites. Either you block pop-ups or you do not. To allow pop-ups, do the following:

  1. In the upper-right, click the menu icon.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Cookies and site permissions.
  4. In the All Permissions section, find Pop-ups and redirects. If you see Allowed, you do not need to do anything. Otherwise click Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Click the toggle for Block to turn it off.

If you do not want to allow pop-ups for all websites, you can choose a different browser.

Pages won't open on FamilySearch.
