Do family name cards expire?

Share

If you've had a family name card for more than 90 days, and you have not completed the ordinance, please check Family Tree to confirm that the ancestor still needs the ordinance performed before going to the temple. This prevents a duplication of the ordinance.

If the ordinance has been completed, you may simply destroy the family name card. It is no longer needed.

Once you have verified that the ordinance still needs to be completed, you may use the previously printed family name card for the temple. The QR code or barcode will still be active.

NOTE: Best practice is to re-reserve the ordinance before attending the temple.
