FamilySearch Center ChromeOS Flex Remote Desktop Support
Homeland Google Support Access
Step 1: Open an Incognito/InPrivate/Private Window in your preferred browser.
Step 2: Browse to https://admin.google.com/
Step 3: Sign in using your Homeland’s Google Support Username and Password.
Note: If you do not know your username and password for your area for Google Support, contact support.
Search for a Device
Step 1: Log into the Google Admin Console (see above).
Step 2: Expand Devices.
Step 3: Expand Chrome.
Step 4: Click Devices.
Step 5: Under All Devices, click in the area Search or add a filter and select Search.
Step 6: Enter the FamilySearch Center Unit Number and click Apply.
Step 7: Click on the blue serial number link of the computer you want to look at.
Remote Desktop into Device
Step 1: Search for the device (see directions above).
Step 2: On the device information page, locate and click Remote Desktop.
Step 3: The console will attempt to connect to the device.
Note: If the device is in use, click Connect Anyway.
Step 4: Once connected, click on Open.
Step 5: The admin console will attempt to connect to the device. On the device, if in use, the user will get a prompt about Remote Assistance. The user will need to click Share to allow you to be connected.
Disconnect from Remote Assistance
As Homeland Support
Step 1: Close the Remote Desktop Tab in your browser.
As Patron
Step 1: Click on the Time in the bottom right corner.
Step 2: Click on Stop within the ChromeOS notification.
