After images are audited, experts can provide feedback to camera operators to help them improve. Operators receive this feedback through the Camera Operator Feedback Dashboard. The dashboard also displays completed work that is ready for billing.
Dashboard Overview
Set up a free FamilySearch Account and ensure your FamilySearch Manager has added the information to your operator profile. Ensure you are signed in to FamilySearch, then open the Camera Operator Feedback Dashboard from the Records Homepage.
The dashboard lists your current projects by their name and ID number. Click Show Week Info to view the work you have submitted for a particular project. Work is divided into seven-day periods, with date ranges listed under the Week column. The Status column shows the audit status for each work period. The Weekly Info column contains a downloadable CSV report for each work period.

Audit Status
All record images and metadata are audited for quality before being published to FamilySearch. The Status column shows the audit stage of the work you have submitted.
- In Transit: The hard drive is in transit to an ingest center.
- Under Audit: The captured images have been received and are under review.
- Reviewed: The captured images have been reviewed and no rework is required. This work period can be billed.
- Needs Rework: The captured images have been reviewed and some require rework.
Download a Weekly Work Report
You can download a CVS work report with production data for each work period. The file opens as a spreadsheet and can be used to create a billing invoice for completed work. Download a report by clicking CVS File in the Weekly Info column. Alternatively, click the week you want to view, then click CVS File in the top right corner.
Note: Please review folders with metadata changes before creating your invoice.
Reviewing Feedback
The Camera Operator Feedback Dashboard lets you view audit feedback for metadata and image quality. If a week is marked as Needs Rework, you must recapture the designated images and submit them again for audit.
To review feedback for audited work:
- Click on a week marked Reviewed or Needs Rework.
- Click the image folder you want to review.
A popup window shows an image quality summary and lists metadata changes made by the auditor. Review the metadata feedback to see where you can make improvements.
Note: Be sure to check for metadata feedback. The more accurate your metadata, the faster FamilySearch can pay you, as far less of your work will require auditing.
- Click View Images and Feedback.
- In the right-side column bar, scroll down to the Camera Operator Feedback section. Under this section, you will find images marked for rework and descriptions of the image quality issues.
- Recapture the images according to the specified feedback.
Follow this same process for other image folders that require rework. When you have made all the reworks, resubmit the images for audit. For more information on image quality issues, see the DCam User Guide: Image Quality Check.
