Try the New Family Members View/Edit Relationships Feature

The family members relationship editing functionality has been improved. Clicking the edit icon next to a person or couple in the family members section of the person page now opens a fly-out where users can now edit multiple parent-child relationships at once by removing or replacing an individual. Users can still get to the "old" relationship page by clicking the Show All Information about This Relationship link at the bottom of the fly-out. Ancestor portraits will also be visible in the family members section. This new functionality is being rolled out gradually in order to test the capacity of this new feature on our systems.

Because of the gradual release schedule, some users in your center will already have access to this new feature, while others will not. It¹s important for you to be able to access the new family members functionality (if you don¹t have access already) in case you receive any questions about it. Below are special instructions for bypassing the release schedule limitation and enabling your account to see and use the new functionality.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to this URL: https://familysearch.org/cookies

It will ask if you want to "Reset your cookies?" Select YES.

  1. Go DIRECTLY to this URL: https://familysearch.org/tree/?vipfeature

You will be prompted to login. When complete, you should be able to go to the person page with the family member relationship edit functionality enabled.

You can read more about this feature on the FamilySearch Blog.
