The Family History Library is pleased to announce two tracks of four classes each presented in Spanish on Thursday, February 4th and Friday, February 5th in conjunction with RootsTech, the largest family history event in the world. These classes are designed for beginning and intermediate researchers. The topics include: research online for Spain, Mexico, Central and South America; how to find Hispanic families in the indexes of Ancestry.com; census records; immigration records; and effective search tips for FamilySearch.
The classes are free but registration is required. All registrants will receive a FREE PASS for the RootsTech expo hall featuring hundreds of technology and family history exhibitors. Seating for the classes is limited to 60 for most classes. Two hands-on classes, Encontrando raices hispanas (Finding Hispanic Roots) and Búsquedas eficaces en FamilySearch (Effective Searches in FamilySearch) are limited to 30. If you will attend via webinar, please indicate that option when completing the registration form. The number of online participants will be limited to 500.
